Can the impact of an employer branding campaign be significantly increased through accompanying content measures? S-Communication Service GmbH, the creative agency of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe for brand communication, is investigating this question together with the Berlin-based market research institute eye square. Using an experimental approach, advertising contacts from the 2025 employer branding campaign were compared, once with and once without additional content delivery. Various formats were tested, from employee portraits on YouTube to social media memes and editorial articles. Their effects on key upper funnel KPIs were analyzed using a standardized follow-up survey. The results show the contribution that content marketing can make to a successful employer brand in combination with classic campaign communication – and which formats and content are particularly effective.

How can new design variants of a website be created and tested against each other using the sandbox when in-house resources are scarce? The presentation provides insight into freenet’s research questions regarding the ideal presentation of tariff options on its website and explains why we opted for a quantitative approach with surveys and click tracking. You will also learn about the “eye square Sandbox,” which can be used to collaboratively create and behaviorally test digital products—all in one platform. We will show you how we used the Sandbox and which variant won in the end. We will also report on the impact at freenet and what happened after our study.
