Garrit Güldenpfennig is Associate Director and Head of Attention and Emotion Data and leads the SEAL team, eye square’s Smart Eye Tracking and Emotion Algorithm technology. Having started out as a data analyst, he now works at the intersection of data, technology, research, and product development.
His vision is to make attention and emotion measurement a natural and scalable part of remote research. SEAL enables eye tracking and emotion measurement through participants’ own smartphones and webcams, allowing these signals to be captured in realistic digital environments at scale.
At the core of Garrit’s approach is the idea that explicit responses alone reveal only part of the Human Experience. Combining them with implicit reactions and perceptual signals creates a more holistic understanding of not only what people do, but also why.
